How it all started...
Cornerstone started when two churches, Beechmont Baptist Church and Parkwood Baptist Church, had a desire to leave a lasting legacy of Gospel proclamation in the south end of Louisville. Cornerstone is a replant of those two congregations that launched as a new church in March 2024.
Where we've been...
In 2024, we laid the foundation for a healthy church by adopting our church's vision/mission statement, identifying our core values, and began our outreach to families and internationals. In 2025, we focused primarily on our core values of Truth & Mission.
Where we are headed...
In 2026, we are having special emphases on our core values of Prayer, Worship, & Missions. We are having an extended time to pray as a congregation on Wednesday nights, asking God to move in powerful ways in and through us.
We are seeking to rejuvenate or worship services on Sunday mornings with an addition of our worship pastor. We will also be creating mission teams that will participate in outreach alongside our Gospel partners in Louisville.
